Eastern Cape From Above

Eastern Cape from Above | South Africa is a project initiated by the Eastern Cape Provincial Government and facilitated by the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) to promote the beauty and diversity of the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
Situated on the southern sea-board of South Africa, the Eastern Cape is uniquely positioned within South Africa as an investment and tourism destination that offers a combination of good infrastructure and development investment opportunities with two of the five Industrial Development Zones in the country situated near Port Elizabeth and in East London; coupled with a lifestyle that is difficult to match elsewhere.
For the tourist there is a plethora on offer for all tastes from the adrenalin seeker, who may want to bungy jump from the highest commercial bungy jump in the world at a whopping 216m (708ft) or surf the waves in Billabong country – Jeffery’s Bay to the nature enthusiast who is happy to relax and enjoy the sublime warmth of summer in one of the coastal towns like Kleinemonde. Game reserves are plentiful, and in the region which is malaria free, a game enthusiast can spot the Big Seven (including the whale and dolphin) at the Addo National Park or enjoy the luxuries of Bushman Sands which comprises a golf estate, hotel and game reserve.
The Wild Coast – aptly named for the many ship wrecks along the rugged coastline and the magnificent unspoilt natural beauty of the area is the perfect location for those wanting to explore remote beaches and wild countryside, with many hiking trails that give travelers the opportunity to see the scenic Hole-in-the-Wall or Waterfall Bluff up close.
These images will whet your appetite and lure you to the shores of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The people of the Eastern Cape welcomes you to visit, explore and fall in love with our province.
