Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) is participating in the 15th Durban FilmMart currently underway at the Elangeni Maharani Hotel from 19-22 July 2024. The Durban FilmMart is a renowned event where industry players connect and seek strategic collaboration within the African film industry. The ECDC’s participation in this event is a strategic move to promote available film and television opportunities in the Eastern Cape region.
Ms. Janice Jonathan, Senior Manager: Investment Promotion at ECDC, participated in the SA in Focus: State of the South African Audio Visual Industry panel discussion along with the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), the Gauteng Film Commission, the SABC, and the KZN Tourism and Film Authority. Highlighting how the Eastern Cape supports the film and television industry and the profound impact and economic multipliers of the film industry value chain in the Eastern Cape region, Ms. Jonathan raised the profile of the Eastern Cape and its full value proposition as a premiere film destination.
